You take care of everyone else.

Why therapy might be the next smart move

Therapy gives you a confidential place to be the one who's cared for, with someone who isn't a colleague, a supervisor, or a person you're responsible for. It's not a sign that you're failing. It's a strategic investment in how you practice, love, and live.

Therapy for Doctors & Healthcare Professionals Miami

Individual therapy with me is built for Florida physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals, from attendings to advanced practice providers, whose careers look steady and purposeful from the outside but feel depleting on the inside.

Maybe it's the dread before a shift. The case you can't stop replaying. The charting that follows you home. The numbness that has started to feel normal.

In our 50-minute sessions, we'll focus on what you're carrying, trace how your history and your training shaped your habits, and pair insight with clear action. The point isn't to talk about change. It's to live it, between shifts.

Julia Cole, LCSW
What Doctors often bring to therapy

I can help With:

Burnout and compassion fatigue that sleep and time off don't fix

Anxiety, perfectionism, and the fear of making a mistake that matters

Difficult cases and loss that come home with you

Relationship strain, from a partner who gets what's left after the shift to patterns you keep repeating

Career decisions: cutting back hours, changing roles, leaving a system, or stepping away from clinical work

FAQs

Do you offer remote/online sessions?

I am 100% virtual.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time, I am private pay & do not accept insurance.

I'm the one who helps people. Shouldn't I be able to handle this myself?

Knowing what you'd tell a patient is not the same as living it. Clinicians are often the last to get care because they're so good at coping. Needing support doesn't mean you're less capable. It means you're human.

What is your fee?

My rate for an individual session is $250. Limited sliding-scale availability by request.

How long is each therapy session?

50 minutes.

Is it confidential? I know a lot of people in this field.

Yes. What you share is protected by confidentiality and HIPAA, with the standard legal exceptions, such as a risk of harm to yourself or others. Nothing is shared with your employer, your colleagues, or your health system without your consent, except where the law requires it. I'm happy to walk through exactly what that means before we begin.

Take the next step toward a life that feels as good as it looks.

If you’re ready to stop white-knuckling your way through success and get honest support, we can start with a brief consultation to see if working together is a fit.
